REST API Access to CC field on Tickets

One of the key points in integrating Zendesk with our internal systems, is to manage and coordinate who is involved in the conversation. At the very least to be able to see who is involved, but ideally we should be able to set and unset the people cc-ed on a Ticket. There is interest in this from an old update but it's been over a year and there's still no movement that I'm aware of on this front.

Are there plans for including access to who is CC-ed on a ticket via the REST API? Are there any hacky workarounds we could use in the meantime? It's one big missing piece I'm afraid...

cross-posting the answer from the other thread for anyone who's interested:

KP try /tickets/:ticket_id/collaborations.json - this will list the collaborations. The reason we show collaborations instead of collaborators is that we also support unlinking (send a DELETE to the given collaboration id). Please let me know if this covers your need or if there's anything you'd like to see added.

KP - Can you give a more precise example of "send a DELETE to the given collaboration id" please? I've tried various combinations of things in URLs and can't seem to figure out the right way to do this... Thanks in advance.

Also can I add collaborations via PUT or POST?

KP - I'd appreciate details on this too. Much is the same way that I can create a ticket given an email address, I'd like to add a cc email address via the API too. How is that done?
