I want to be able to export data from all my tickets (including my custom fields). How do I do that?

I don't want to but I want to know I can if I need to export my data for what ever reason. Is it possible through the API?

@Mike @Mark Your best bet for exporting the full data of a ticket is to query the data using the REST API. For more information please check out our API documentation:

@Don

I don't see how you could achieve this without using the API.

If you're on the Plus+ or Enterprise plans, you can export ticket data from Manage → Reporting → Export.

Justin, thanks for the answer, but it doesn't seem to work. I can't find "Export".

Hi Frankie,

We recently changed access to exports to make the data in your Zendesk more secure. Exporting ticket data is not enabled by default but if you have a Plus or Enterprise account, you can email support@zendesk.com to have it enabled.

See this article for more information: https://support.zendesk.com/entries/23002207-Exporting-data-to-a-CS...

Hope that helps!

Hi John,

If nothing happens when you attempt to open the XML file, it's likely because you don't have an application installed to view/edit such file types. Please install a compatible application and give it another try.

If you can open the file but cannot make sense of its content, please lend a few more details on the issue and we'll check it out.
