var foo = $('footer').innerHTML;

foo += "<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http://url/features\">Features</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/system_requirements\">Requirements</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/faq\"><abbr title=\"Frequently Asked Questions\">FAQ</abbr></a>|";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/support\">Help</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/about\">About</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/blog\">Blog</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/press\">Press</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/privacy\">Privacy</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/tos\">Terms</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/store\">Store</a>; | ";
foo += "<a href=\"http://url/contact\">Contact</a></p>";;
foo += "<p align=\"center\">Copyright &copy; 2009 Your company , <abbr title=\"Incorporated\">Inc.</abbr> All rights reserved.</p>";

$('footer').update(foo);

Create a global javascript widget, put in the urls you want and this will appear on every zendesk portal page

I know this post is a year old, and thanks a lot for the footer script, worked well.

Is there any way to do something similar with the header?

Specifically, I'd like to add one or two additional elements in the upper right:

<username> | profile | <custom link 1> | <custom link 2> | help | logout

I figured out how to do custom CSS to make the header look like our standard header, but I can't figure out how to add our own  links.

Thanks!

Using the above code example, changing these two lines to 'header' instead of 'footer' does the trick. var foo = $('footer').innerHTML; $('footer').update(foo);

Perhaps I am missing something?  Perhaps a step that should be obvious to me but isn't?  I inserted the above code into a Global JS widget, customized it with my links however its not appearing on the page.

Zendesk

@Jonathan and anyone else who wants to Dennis figured it out and posted it here https://support.zendesk.com/entries/21741777 if you want some deep customization. Or if you just want something above the top right links you can use this

jQuery('#top-right').prepend('<p>SKippppppppp<\/p>');
