How can I find a total word count for my Guide instance?

    Hi Matt -

For the sake of just getting an estimate, I would audit a handful of your articles, determine your average word count, and then just figure out roughly how many articles you have and multiply. Getting an exact count would probably involve using the API to pull every article, then feeding the body of every article into a single place to get counts.

I'll also share that many organizations prioritize having their most frequently read articles translated, rather than translating an entire KB. There are likely a number of rarely viewed articles in your catalogue that it may not be worth the expense of getting translated.

We'll share your question around with some other knowledge managers as well, to see if they have suggestions or best practices for you.

    Thanks Nicole!

Yeah, an estimate makes sense. I'm just curious to know what that API query looks like.
