Announcing basic support for CSS classes in Content Blocks
It is with great pleasure we announce that we’ve just introduced a tool in the Content Blocks editor that allows you to apply CSS classes to blocks of text inside of Content Blocks.
How does it work?
If you’d like to apply additional styling to your content inside a content block, all you need to do is to go to the Content Block editor, select the text that you’d like to style, and click on the CSS icon in the top bar. An Apply CSS window will show up in which you can type the name of the CSS class that you’d like to use.
Is it that simple?
Yup! The system wraps the content in a <div> and applies the styling you have defined in your theme. You can read more about how it works in our documentation.
Are there any limitations?
Yes, you cannot apply a class to a single word, or a sentence, in a larger paragraph. However, you can apply a class to a standalone piece of text, a code block, a quote block, or a list.
I hope you’ll find this addition useful and as usual I’m really looking forward to your feedback.
