Using Groups in Stacked Charts

Beantwortet

Gepostet 10. Jan. 2020

All,

I've searched the community and can't find how to do this.  I have multiple categories and subcategories for tickets:

I have grouped these into their main categories and am trying to use them to drive a stacked chart with only the 4 main categories.  Something like this mockup I put together:

But what I end up with is this:

Any idea how I can use the grouped categories to drive a simple chart that only has the 4 main categories?  Your help is much appreciated.

Try this...

Create a new query on the Support Ticket dataset as you have done.

Go to Calculations>Attributes>Group

Here you build one new attribute that will cover all of your ticket categories.

  • Attribute Name>Ticket Category
  • Computed from> Your custom category field

Here is one that I have for a custom field.

You now only need one attribute in your Rows section, like this:

To make it look like your mock up:

  • Visualisation type> Column
  • Chart configuration> Chart>Stacked

Wow Graeme,  I knew I had to somehow combine them as one attribute but didn't know how.  Thank you so much!
