There is a setting in Zendesk called “Ask users to register”. But it still allows them to submit a web form with a request, and then they will receive an email with a registration link. In this case, there is a non-zero possibility that the email they mentioned in the form was wrong (ordinary human mistake) and when they realize that the email was incorrect they will be upset as they spent a lot of time for filling request fields (sometimes they are pretty large) and they will have to submit a request again. This leads to customer dissatisfaction.
The sense of the proposed feature request is the following:
Disable the possibility to submit (fill) request form for unregistered users at all.
Of course, a workaround already exists, and our web developers can simply hide the submit request button for unregistered users, but the submit form will be still accessible via its URL.
