    Hello mfg,

You can create a report with Support - Tickets dataset as follows:

    Metric:

    • Tickets (COUNT)

    Rows:

    • Ticket Group
    • Ticket Form
    • Task Category

In that specific order. It should do the job.

Let me know if you need further help.

    Hi Matthew,

Ahmed's right, you can add the attributes that you need as slicers under Rows with the visualization type for the report set to Table. By default, the report will display the metric values at the rightmost column; if you need the report to only show the ticket information similar to your sample table, you may hide this column via Chart Configuration → Column as shown here.

If you add an attribute under Explosions, then the query should display different charts/tables, one for each attribute value. Adding another attribute as Explosion will slice the data further into 'smaller' reports. A potential issue that could result from adding multiple attributes as Explosions is if the data being processed is huge and there's a considerable number of values under each Explosion attribute. This could be why Explore is not able to return the results, probably because it's hitting the limit/threshold.

You can try to apply more filters to the report and see if the report will be able to process the query; but, in this scenario, it may be better to have separate reports for each category and then just addd them to a single dashboard.

Thanks @... and Ahmed Zaid ,

I think I may have understated what I meant by each team has a unique task category field. Based on your suggestion, the report would look more like this:

    Metric:

    • Tickets (COUNT)

    Rows:

    • Ticket Group
    • Ticket Form
    • Task Category A  + Task Category B + Task Category C + Task Category D
    • Task ID A|B|C|D|[null]

For illustration, if we have an admin tasks, sales tasks, orders tasks, and vendor tasks for the admin, sales, orders, and vendors groups,

Right now we pull separate reports for each team, their form, and break out on the task ID; then join the different reports.

Is there a way of using explosions to accomplish this? When I try it keeps cancelling the operation when I add more than one task category.
