It's 2023 - is there going to be a change to the dropped chat logic?

I came across community posts dating back to 2017 where ZD users complained about the dropped chat logic:

This was a response from 2021:

Now it's 2023, is there any plan to change this logic specifically for chat (not your messaging option) or give account admins the ability to customize this for their agents?
