    Hi Paolo,

You can restrict your help center and community to a particular user segment. Read more Restricting-help center access to signed in end-users.

    Hello Tetiana,

    Thank you for your reply!

I saw the article but what I need to do is different.

I have different user-segments accessing the Help Centre. I want to offer to some of them the community feature, let's say as a "premium feature" just for this one user-segment, but I do not want the other users to see the community button available when they access the Help centre.

Do you think this is possible? I hope I have made myself clear.

    Thank you in advance!

You can restrict all community topics to the same user segment but you cannot restrict the whole community.

Ok I was thinking exactly the same, so even I restrict the topics I cant restrict the community itself.

It would be nice to have this possibility in the future. In the meantime I will try to figure out an alternative solution.

    Thank you for your support!

    Have a nice day!

Certainly! If you want to restrict a community feature to a specific user segment, here's how you can do it:

    1. Define the user segment: Identify the specific user segment or group of users that you want to restrict access to the community feature. This could be based on factors such as user demographics, subscription level, user activity, or any other relevant criteria.

    2. Set up access controls: Use your community platform's administrative tools or settings to configure access controls for the identified user segment. This could involve setting permissions, roles, or privileges that restrict access to the community feature for that particular user segment. For example, you may limit access to a specific user group based on their subscription level or membership status.

    3. Test and verify: After setting up the access controls, thoroughly test and verify that the community feature is restricted only to the intended user segment. Check that users who are not part of the identified user segment are unable to access or use the community feature as intended.

    4. Communicate guidelines: Clearly communicate the guidelines and restrictions regarding the community feature to the affected user segment. Provide instructions on how to access the feature if applicable, or explain the reasons for the restriction if necessary. Make sure to provide ample support and assistance to users who may have questions or concerns.

    5. Monitor and enforce: Continuously monitor the access controls and enforce the restrictions on the community feature for the identified user segment. Regularly review and update the access controls as needed to ensure that the intended user segment continues to have restricted access.

By following these steps, you can effectively restrict access to a community feature to a specific user segment and manage user access to your community platform according to your desired criteria.
