Capture Google Meet URL in Sell Calendar
Feature Request Summary:
A Sell appointment should capture Google Meet URL from synced calendar events and display it.
Description/Use Cases:
Google events have separate location and Google Meet fields, unlike other platforms, such as Zoom, which utilises the location for video conference URL.
Sell appointments do not have an additional field to display the Google Meet URL. They only sync the meeting location, which is usually blank for virtual meetings.
Agents who utilise sell for unified experience including emails and appointments are not able to launch the meeting from the Sell platform. They have to do so from the Google product. This cancels a good portion of the integration benefit. The integration could improve the way it syncs Meeting URL to achieve a truly unified view.
Hence, the google meet URL should be processed in one of the following ways:
- Append the description field
- Be surfaced as its own field
- Prepend the location field (sounds ideal to me)
Business impact of limitation or missing feature:
Lost focus due to swapping between calendar client and Zendesk Sell. Not the most challenging blocker.
The true impact is a less-than-ideal onboarding experience due to lack of a basic feature. Email and calendar sync are the first tasks completed by clients moving to Sell or starting with a CRM software. It is not the best first impression to relay that agents can see and manage all their virtual appointments, but must go somewhere else to actually launch them.
