Thanks both,

I've invested 5 hours trying to make this work but I can't learn Python from scratch just to get a list of who my community members are. This stuff should be native, it's the most basic need for a community platform - I just want a list of who is using my community. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Hi @... just tested this one out. The request returns the .csv file as expected, however the file contains user id's instead of user names. Is there anyway to modify the script so that the name of the user is fetched instead of their ID?

Just to back this one up - Salesforce's community allows you to tag contacts even if they haven't made a post yet. It's up to us as community managers to ensure that the privacy issues are covered in our privacy notices.

- or do not include response into notification email, so the users will be forced to get to community post to see the answer, and then will replay on the comunity

This option is definitely my preference. When members respond via email, it can include their email signature - which often contains sensitive data which we don't want posted in our community. I'd much rather they came and took part natively, even if the experience requires an extra click.

Hi all,

Currently, the only options available to community members for notifications are:

  • New Posts
  • New Posts and Comments

In many cases, the New Posts option will be really, really annoying for members on a busy topic - so they end up unsubscribing. 

Can we add the option for a weekly digest. Salesforce do this really well, you get a once weekly email (the send time of which can be customised) highlighting the most popular / engaged activity in that topic this week.

It would also be excellent to go above and beyond to automate the sending of a community newsletter to members - doing the same thing as the weekly digest, but for all topics, should the member choose to sign up to it.
