How exactly does stemming work? Does the search iterate for a set of suffixes, or is it a wildcard?

Our content covers topics where users will search for part of a proper noun - example: "Sugar" vs "SugarCRM". If we're applying labels for SEO improvements, do we need to apply both labels, or will stemming find a "sugar" label when the user searches for SugarCRM, or vice versa?

Hi Josh. The link you provided directs back to this page, which I've read, and unfortunately, there is no answer to my question here. 

Does the Answer Bot machine learning algorithm impact the results you see in non-answer bot locations, or are these locations still using the regular Zendesk search algorithm? Examples: the Instant Search results that show when you are typing in the search bar, and the search results in pages like this: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=answer+bot

Chiming in with the same issue. We are reorganizing our content and have to review 700+ articles to place in new sections. Doing this one by one will take a LONG time. I'm disappointed I can't do this by selecting titles from a list. It's way too many clicks. Carpal tunnel, anyone?

I will add that notifications will send to followers of a topic when you move an existing post to a new topic.

A way to turn this off or pause notifications while performing this kind of administrative change would be very helpful.

My use cases:

  • moving older posts that are misclassified in the wrong category (don't want a notification sent)
  • re-organizing an existing community to use different topics (definitely do not want notifications sent!)
