Zendesk is pleased to announce action flow changes are now captured in the audit log.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What is changing?
Until now, action flow activity was logged in the Integration logs in Admin Center on a 7-day rolling basis. This helped you monitor an action flow's performance, but didn't keep long-term records of the action flow's configuration history itself.
Beginning with this release, account owners, admins, and agents with permission can now view the complete history of action flow creation, modification, activation, deactivation, and deletion, including who performed each event, which action flow was changed, and when it occurred.
For more information, see Viewing the audit log for changes to your account.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
Giving admins and account owners the ability to track action flow creation and management events provides the following benefits:
- Accountability: Knowing exactly which admin made changes to a live automation and when helps ensure accountability.
- Compliance: Many industries require strict internal change-management record keeping.
What do I need to do?
Audit log support for action flows is being rolled out to all accounts. The logging will capture modifications to existing flows and the creation of new flows that occur after this release. See Viewing the audit log for changes to your account.
Note that retroactive log entries aren't available for the creation and modification of existing action flows that occurred prior to this release.
