App developers all over the world love Fabric, the mobile development platform that makes it quick and easy to use third party services and SDKs in your apps. They also love Answers, a platform for collecting and visualising your app’s key metrics.
I’m pleased to announce the launch of the Zendesk kit for Fabric, designed so companies can build personalized customer support and self-service into any mobile app. The Zendesk kit allows thousands of developers to install Zendesk Support in a matter of minutes so companies can provide in-app support, without their customers ever leaving their mobile app. Zendesk’s kit is the first customer service kit available on Fabric.
It’s available today on the Fabric website, in the Android Studio plugin, and in the macOS app for Xcode. Go to the Fabric site to get started, or read on to find out more. Check out our blog post here.
What’s in the Zendesk kit?
The Zendesk kit for Fabric is a distribution of the Support SDK. Your users can get support from your Help Center, or create, read, and update their messages with you, right in your app.
Choose to use our user interface to get going quickly, or take your time and build your own. You’re in control of the experience you give to your users every step of the way. Find out how SwiftKey or Rovio use the Support SDK in their apps to give world class support to their customers and players.
In addition to these features, we have integrated the Zendesk kit with Answers. No code is required from you to be able to see how your users interact with the Zendesk kit, giving you a real time dashboard of the heartbeat of your app.
What will I see in Answers?
We’ll send an event to Answers whenever your users:
- Start a new message with you
- Update a message thread
- Open your Help Center
- View an article
- Perform a search of your Help Center
- Are handed off to the app store for a review
You’ll be able to see all of these in your Fabric dashboard if you have Answers enabled for your app.
Where can I get help or ask questions?
