    Hi Claire,

Thank you for your article it sort of helped but not really.

The part of editing the name with a flag in front will help who has the actual number that can be detected by Zendesk. However, if the caller is unknown or Zendesk could not detect then every time the customer called we still cannot identify the prank caller beforehand.

I hope this feedback helps and if you have any updates on this I will be much appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Spike

Hi Claire, thank you for your post.

Your solution does not provide a solution when agents are offline, meanwhile we are being charged for voice messages from a spammer in Brazil and we are in Mexico. So there is no way for us to stop this.

I hope you find a quick solution for this.

    Cheers,

    Arturo

What's the progress on this beta feature? We have had some situations recently where blocking a number would be very useful.

    Hey Stephen -

It's still in beta. You're welcome to join if you'd like to participate! If you ask questions in the beta forum, that Product Manager is usually very responsive.

When is this feature going live?  It's been in Beta for 7 months???

    Hi Jay -

Yep. Betas sometimes last a while - particularly if the process of the Beta brings to light any problems that we have to go back to the drawing board with. We don't share specific ETAs in the community because timelines do change, but you're welcome to join the Beta if you'd like.

Any progress with the beta of this functionality? We have had an increase in some spam calls that are cutting into the productivity of my agents. How can I be added to the beta program if we do not have an estimated release date? Thank you for the help.

Some insurance company has my business toll free number in their database, and is auto-dialing me from 272-222-6970 at my expense. I'll sign up for the beta now. There has got to be a way to block a number when necessary.

    Hey!
We have a problem at the moment. We call up people who we think have left their number but they swore that they haven't done this. We have one number that we call up every week and sometimes we call up companies. Is someone else having this kind of problem? Anyway we need to block this numbers somehow. These people are very angry at us..

    Hey Moa,

If you're attempting to block a number you'll need to sign up for the beta. You can find more information regarding this beta in our Signing up for the beta page.

If you have any questions regarding the beta you'll want to create a post here for our Product Managers to view.

    I hope this helps!

Please start taking part in one of the fraud / spam blocking databases that are growing away on mobile. This spam is ridiculous. 100% of the call to our vendor phone number have been fraud in the last few days.

And to make matters worse, you are profiting from it because they are 800 numbers!

Is it possible to get a refund since they are fraud?

    Hey Jason,

Sorry to hear you're receiving a bunch of spam calls on your account. There could be an underlying issue here that needs to be looked into so I'm going to create a ticket on your behalf and send over to our Support team. You should receive an email shortly.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Our support line is getting a ton of spam calls these days as well. The strangest thing is that it is not a sales call but rather a recording of someone waiting on hold for a different company. I have added each number to my block list in Talk, but they are still able to call and leave voicemails. Is there a lag time from when you add a number to your block list before it starts actually blocking? Are there deeper settings beyond adding a +1 (###) ###-#### to the block list in order to get it blocked? Anyone else getting strange non-sales spam calls lately?

    All the Best,

    Tim

    Hey Tim,

Are you part of the beta that allows you to block phone numbers? If so, I'm unaware of any lag time between adding the number to the block list. If you're experiencing issues with the beta I recommend creating a post in our Zendesk Talk EAP forum so our Talk Product Managers can assist further.

    Hope this helps!

I applied for the beta months ago and haven't heard back – is there a "selection process?"

We are also receiving a huge uptick in spam/fraudulent calls this quarter and it would be great to minimize wasted agent time. This really should be a basic admin feature, we have obviously thought to do the "BLOCKED USER" but that doesn't prevent them from calling repeatedly and taking up a line that should be open for legitimate customers.

    Hey Kaylee,

From what I can tell, Huckberry are on Talk Basic and as mentioned in the signup form this beta is available to customers on Talk Professional and Enterprise, that's why you haven't heard back from us. I do apologise that I didn't reach back out on your signup to mention why this isn't available to you at the moment.

    Thanks, Caroline

This feature really should be included for any Talk plan - it's the phone equivalent of spam filtering, and should be considered a basic necessity.

The sign up link for the Beta says I'm not Authorized.

I have a random fax machine that keeps hitting my number and VM. I get charged for each of these calls. This feature needs to be available soon.

    Hi Tatcha,

It looks like this has exited the beta program and our team is looking at the feedback provided before pushing out to General Availability. Unfortunately I don't have an ETA of when this feature will be available but I have sent your feedback along to the appropriate team.

    Cheers!
