Why am I missing Chat widget settings?
If your Zendesk Chat account is integrated with the Support tool, you’ll notice that some options may be missing on the Chat widget settings. This happens when the Contact Form and Help Center are enabled for the Web Widget within Support.
This article is a guide on how to make all the Chat Widget settings appear on the dashboard. Only the account owner and admins are able to change these settings.
- Access up your Zendesk Support account.
- On the left-hand side of the page, click Admin icon () > Channels > Widget.
- Under Customization, turn off both the Contact form and Help Center options.
4. Lastly, scroll down to click Save and then reload/refresh your Chat dashboard to see the changes.
These changes will allow Chat administrators to see additional settings from within the Chat dashboard as desired. Below is an example of how the settings page in the Chat dashboard will look based on if the Contact form is active or not.
