Question
I have a custom Insights report created, that includes the values of my single line text fields. However not all of the content is returned for those fields. Why is some of the text omitted from my Insights report?
Answer
GoodData attributes are limited to 256 characters (see GoodData's Community post for more information).
This means that if any of your Insights reports include text fields with long content, only the first 256 characters will be returned in your report.
The following field types are affected by this limitation:
- Satisfaction comments (see Looking at satisfaction ratings with comments)
- Drop down ticket field values (see Organizing drop-down list options)
- Single line text fields (see Reporting on custom fields in Insights)
To obtain this data in a format that is not truncated, perform a full data export which includes all ticket properties (see Ticket export options for instruction on this task).
Note: Satisfaction comments can be exported without the full data export for timeframes spanning up to 90 days. See Viewing customer satisfaction ratings for instruction on this task..
