Why is the Community still showing in my Help Center editing area when I've de-selected the Communities setting in the General Settings?
Unchecking the Communities option to show or utilize the Community in your Help Center in the above image, hides the Community from users in the live version of the Help Center.
However, the Community will still remain visible to agents and managers in the Editing area of your Help Center to allow you to design your Help Center with the Community in mind, so that if you do decide to activate it in the future, you know what it will look like. If you prefer to remove the Community completely, you can either remove the HTML code for the Community on your Home Page, as in the below example:
Or, you can comment it out using comment tags around the Community code. Here's a quick link to W3Schools and how to use comment tags, if you're not familiar: https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_comments.asp
As a quick note, the above examples are for the Copenhagen theme in the Help Center. If you have a different theme then you'll have to locate the relevant code to either delete or comment out the necessary parts. This document doesn't cover all past variations on themes, only the newest one.
