What are these "units" in my Talk/Text bill?!
Billing for Talk and Text subscription usage is based on units. The reason for converting to units is to provide a universal way of interpreting charges. It's actually quite a simple calculation: A unit is one-tenth of a cent. This allows for units to be independent of a single call or a single text, and rather count up the number of units a single call or a single text would cost.
For example: A call that ultimately costs $0.125 will equal 125 units. A bill that shows 27,000 units as the charge, will equal $27.00 as the cost.
