With the recent announcement of  being discontinued (https://twitter.com/ZendeskOps/status/981559536459927554), we're losing live reporting of outages and outage resolutions. We have a Slack integration that alerts all necessary people when an outage or disruption tweet comes in. Reactively visiting status.zendesk.com is not as useful as proactive alerts. Email is bulky and can get lost. Also, setting up email notifications for our 975 existing agents and future agents is not scalable.

Please reconsider using the  twitter account for announcing outages and service disruptions.

Agreed 100% with the above comment from DJ, we are setup the exact same way.  Using email for a real time notification tool or advising to visit a site is a step backwards.  As an industry leader in customer support I expect more from you.  Please reconsider this decision.

    Hey guys -

Thanks for your feedback. We do have a public API for the status page in beta, if you would like to join that beta you can sign up here

    Hey DJ and Rob -

In case you missed it, you weren't the only ones upset by the idea of @ZendeskOps going away, and the company listened. @ZendeskOps lives on to see another day!
