We are pleased to announce that Zendesk Support now supports SAML custom user fields for Single Sign-On.
In order to add custom user fields, you must first create the custom user field in Zendesk Support before creating it in your Identity provider (IdP). To do so in your Zendesk Support account, go to Settings > Manage > User Fields, and add a User Field. The field key needs to be identical to the field key you use in your IdP. When setting up the field name in your IdP it must start with ‘user_field_’ followed by the field key you used in Zendesk Support. For example, if your field key in Zendesk Support is “test”, your IdP field name should be ‘user_field_test’.
