When creating or editing a Chat trigger, if I type an email address into an action text field, I receive an error message after submitting the trigger:
Error: Invalid Variable: '@domain' is not a valid variable for the Page Enter Event (400)
To resolve this, you must:
- Have a Chat account on the Team plan or higher
- Be an Administrator on your Chat account
As mentioned in the Chat article, Working with triggers, prefacing text with the '@' symbol loads available placeholders. If the text following the @ symbol isn't one of the available placeholders, you will be unable to submit this trigger. In order to use an email address in the message of your Chat trigger action, format your email address with two '@' symbols instead of one. For example, use: 'sample@@domain.com' instead of 'firstname.lastname@example.org'
