Why isn't RTL text working in ticket comments?

    Hey everyone, 

    First of all, I want to thank you for being able to provide such an amazing and user-friendly service.

    We just found out about this issue. My question is: is the markdown the only solution right now and are you planning to fix this problem somehow?

    Hey Tamir - 

    It's not a setting so much as a different way of doing things. You would switch entirely to using the markdown editor, rather than the WSYIWYG editor.

    I've asked one of our customer advocates to come help troubleshoot and determine whether or not this is a bug. Someone should be along shortly.

    Hello, everyone!
    As soon as I know, the Insert Markdown application will be removed in October. Does it mean that there will be no option to format RTL text? Or application has nothing to do with the Markdown option?

    Hey Ahmed,

    As it turns out, the only option to format RTL text is still Markdown.  A rich text editor for RTL text IS in development but at this time we do not have a timeline as to when it will be deployed.  Make sure to follow this post for future updates and welcome to the Zendesk Community! :D

    Hi Tamir, 

     

    Have you set your account up so that the language you are trying to type in corresponds to the language your account has been set up with?

    What language are you trying to write in? If it is not a language you are able to select from this language list, then it would be a unsupported language, thus an unsupported writing.

     

    If you can tell us what language your account has been set up with by accessing Admin > Settings > Accounts and hit the localization tab, you will see what the available languages are. 

     

    (non exhaustive list of language options underneath here)

    I switched to the markdown editor, but I still can't apply RTL direction.
