Sometimes when I chat with Zendesk Customer Support I am suddenly disconnected. Is there anything I can do to avoid this?
When chatting with our team, or any company that uses Zendesk Chat, it is important to keep the following tips in mind to avoid disconnection:
- If you intend to make any account changes while chatting, those actions should be taken in a separate browser tab or window.
- Avoid refreshing your browser tab or clearing your browser cache while chatting.
- Disconnection could be caused by an issue with your browser. Verify that your browser is up to date per the Zendesk Chat system requirements.
- If you are disconnected and prefer not to start a chat with a new agent, respond to the ticket that was created by your initial chat. This response will go to the original agent who you were working with.
