I want to make reports in Explore but there are two different options: dashboards and queries. What is the difference between a dashboard and a query? When do I use which one?
A query is a single report, in a query, you can use metrics and attributes to visualize data in a single report.
A dashboard is a feature that allows you to showcase multiple queries side by side, or present a whole collection of queries in one place. For example, if you have a lot of different queries that track agent performance, you can put them all on the same dashboard, see them side by side, and share them with others.
Both queries and dashboards allow you to adjust what data you're looking at using filters, but filters work differently in dashboards and queries. For more information, see the article: Should I apply filters at the query or dashboard level?
