This article describes the deprecation of social account sign-in for agents. Although social account sign-in is currently not available for agents and admins, some legacy accounts still allow it. Zendesk is planning to end-of-life (EOL) social sign-in for staff members in all accounts.
What is happening?
On October 18, 2021, the buttons to Sign in with Facebook and Sign in with Twitter will no longer be displayed on the sign-in screen for agents or admins who are attempting to authenticate to Zendesk.
Why are we doing this?
Due to historically low usage of social accounts as a sign-in method among our agents and admins, we’re simplifying the sign-in experience by removing these options from the sign-in screen, in favor of Google or Microsoft Single Sign-on Options (SSO) for staff members.
What do you need to do?
Before the EOL date, educate your staff members that these options are going away. Review your staff member security settings to make sure they have the correct setup, depending on what options you want to present to your staff. Here are some helpful articles:

What happens when Facebook and Twitter sign-in options are disabled?
Apart from your staff not being able to choose Facebook and Twitter as sign-in options, nothing noticeable should happen. Staff members will choose from the other available sign-in options and sign in successfully. If you have end users who sign-in with social accounts, they can continue to use these sign-in methods as usual.
