We’re happy to announce a new way to verify your business for Zendesk Talk phone number purchasing and compliance. Business verification for Zendesk Talk enables businesses to independently provide the required information and supporting documents to purchase new phone numbers compliantly in over 40 countries around the world, without the need to contact the Zendesk customer support team. This new feature will start rolling out from April 19, 2021 and all Zendesk Talk customers will have access by April 29, 2021.
Up until now, if you needed to purchase a phone number in a country with specific regulatory requirements, you had to open a ticket with the Zendesk customer support team. The Zendesk customer support team would then inform you of the business information and supporting documents required. Once received, they’d manually create a business profile and purchase a phone number on your behalf. Now, you’ll be able to independently verify your business with Talk and purchase phone numbers, all without the need of Zendesk customer support.
Do I need to do anything?
If you already have existing phone numbers set up with Zendesk Talk, the good news is that you don’t need to take any further action at this time. The new automated business verification process only impacts new businesses who sign up to Zendesk Talk and businesses who wish to purchase new phone numbers in countries with specific regulatory requirements. However, if country specific phone number regulations change at any stage in the future, then we will contact you directly and you can verify your business using this process.
