    Hey All,

If you don't have Professional and Enterprise plans you still can export your data to the CSV file.

Help Desk Migration service allows migrating Zendesk to CSV.

    Hi,

What is the time zone of the time shown in the CSV reports downloaded from zendesk. And how do we change it.

    Thanks

Does the XML file include all the fields that are included in the JSON file?

I pulled both the Full XML Export and the User XML Export. The User file in both of these exports did not list the Organization. Why is that? Can the Organization be added? That would be very helpful for us. We would like to be able to email end-users (by Organization) with service notifications. Does the JSON file include the Organization? I don't know how to read a JSON file.

     Alicia,

for JSON format you may use Side-loading to include Organizations into Tickets or Users incremental export files (add &include=organizations)

    Check about Side-loading at

    https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/core/side_loading

Within the full JSON export - when selecting a date range - can you please advise which field is used to determine the appropriate record?

Each column that contains dates appears to have dates outside the date range selected........

Hi David! The date ranges for these exports use a system generated timestamp. For the most part, it should line up with the most recent update on the ticket. There are some exceptions, though, for system updates that don't generate ticket events.

The CSV and JSON date ranges use a lot of the same back-end mechanics as our incremental exports API, so they end up using the same timestamps for date ranges. We have more information in this documentation on excluding system updates. (In the context of that article, the "start_time" is the start of the incremental call.)

    I hope this helps!

Is there any progress on exporting the actual content of the tickets? Or any support you can provide regarding API to facilitate this feature?

Mob, afaik, to export content of the tickets you should obtain comments array

(initial ticket body is the first comment)

You have to use Incremental export API ticket_events with comment_events side loading.

    The sample request looks like

    /api/v2/incremental/ticket_events.json?start_time=1538644773&include=comment_events

    Check guide at

    https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/core/incremental_export#incremental-ticket-event-export

    Hi Zendesk,

I have just upgraded to a pro version.

I need to export the following, and i cannot see how from the article you have provided:

1: All forum Q&As. not with attachments. Which format is possible?

2: All knowledge base articles in a CSV format.

I hope you can answer this as soon as possible.

    Thank you ver much.

    Hi Søren,

Thank you for reaching out regarding exports from the community and knowledge base. If you are wanting to export your Community content, this would be possible by using our Posts endpoints. You can find information regarding these endpoints here.

In terms of exporting your Knowledge Base articles, there are two methods by which you could do so. The first is to utilize the Help Center API and generate a script that will pull all of the articles. The other would be to use a 3rd party app that was built for exporting your knowledge base articles. You can find more info about that here.

Feel free to reach out with any other questions!

Please let us have the option of choosing a date range when doing a CSV Export. Every month our export file gets incredibly huge, crashing Excel and the computer itself. This is a simple feature but a huge oversight in Data Export side. This is very important for us as there's no way to export the email IDs via Insights.

I have requested three full JSON exports, and received confirmation emails that they are available, but the links to download the zip files are broken.  So I cannot download the data.

    Chrome tells me:
The web page at https://airasiabig.zendesk.com/voyager/download/99d7bfd8df2a3b25ed0305a2cac5acbc might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Hi team! We have a professional account but I don't see those full data sets on our reports list. There isn't an "export" option either. Any insights?

    Hi Loretta,

This most likely has not been enabled on your account. I'm going to get a ticket created on your behalf so our Customer Advocacy team can get this enabled for you. You'll receive an email shortly stating your ticket has been created so feel free to reply to that email with your subdomain.

Additionally, if you're not the account owner of your account you'll also want to CC them to that ticket and have them reply back with approval to enable this feature.

    Cheers!

    Hey Gasper,

As stated at the top of the article, you will need to have this enabled by having your Account Owner contact Zendesk Support at support@zendesk.com.

Once that's done, you should be able to get this feature.

    Hey Sushant,

Great start I think for something that has potential.  Installed in Sandbox, worked good to export Admins, Agents, but then got hosed up just loading forever when trying to do End Users or All Users.  Also, the app has very limited fields it exports, would love to have all User Fields or all the same data that the full JSON Export provides.  Just some feedback in case it helps.

    Hi John

    Thanks for feedback,

Currently we do not support custom user field feature but our upcoming release has that feature and also you can control what fields to export.

I have received your mail too,I have responded all your queries in separate email.

    thanks,

    Sushant

    Hi.

My full JSON export seems to be returning the custom fields' ID but not the actual name of the fields, which makes browsing the file and the content of each custom field much harder. Is there a way for the name of the custom fields to be exported along with the IDs in the array?

    Thanks.

    Hey Carlos,

The JSON export will only show the custom field ID and there's no way to change this functionality. If you're looking to show the field name, you'll most likely need to export your data using the API if you'd like the custom field name along with the ID.

    Hope this helps!
