Are there any other alternatives to Zapier?

You could use Workato and Azuqua as well. The function will be the same on all services, it will just depend if they have a prebuilt connector to the survey tool you are using.

I'm having issues selecting "Response Custom Variable: Ticket ID" when creating the Zap. I created the custom variable in SurveyMonkey as well as the custom fields in Zendesk. I was wondering if anyone else encountered this issue and how you were able to resolve it?

This is great! I did a straight Survey Monkey link embedded in some of our solved emails that brings over some data but it doesn't flush back into Zendesk.

    Thank you for this!

Hey Catherine! Sorry for the delayed response!

Are you still having a problem with this? If you are, can you be more specific about what's going wrong? I don't know that I'll be able to help, but I'll try!

Hi Jessie! I'm still having the problem. I've created the custom fields, and the Zap appears to be working, but the responses aren't populating-- well my text fields are but not my drop-downs. I created my custom fields as drop-downs so I can have tags associated with the predetermined answer for ease in creating custom metrics. Unfortunately, the responses aren't being submitted to Zendesk. Any ideas why? I find it odd that my text custom fields are, but not the drop-downs. About a year ago we did something similar, and it worked correctly.

    Hey Catherine!

So, based on what I'm reading in the article, it sounds like the way the data is pulled out of the survey might not compatible with a drop-down menu. If the data is pulled as a line of text, it won't work for a drop-down.

I understand wanting to use tags, but it might not be possible...have you tried replacing the drop downs with a multi-line text field to see if it works that way? That would be the first troubleshooting step I'd recommend. If the info comes in to the multi-text fields, then we'll know that everything is set up correctly.
