We’re excited to announce the availability of PCI compliant ticket field. This field automatically redacts inputted credit card numbers to the last 4 digits, which for example can be used for identity verification by support agents. This is a powerful tool for safely interacting with customers about their payment information in a PCI compliant manner.
When a user input’s a credit card value in this field and submits, only the last 4 digits are stored in Zendesk. The remaining digits are dropped in the browser.
You can learn more about configuration requirements and limitations around this field in our product documentation.
