The JIRA app in Zendesk Support is failing to associate with the customer's JIRA account.
These errors could result in different error messages thrown by the app. The common thread is a HTTP Status Code 401 Unauthorized in the dev console.
Cause and resolution
- Ensure the integrating JIRA admin account is part of the ‘administrator’ and ‘jira-software-user’ groups.
- Ensure the JIRA admin account does not have permission schemes in place to prevent project creation or editing existing projects (Settings > Issues > Permission schemes).
- Ensure the role ‘atlassian-addons-project-access’ has permission granted for all Project and Issue permissions (Settings > Issues > Permission schemes).
