    Hi Jeremy -

You should be able to apply the code and concepts outlined in the support tip linked below to the Community links to accomplish this:

Hide or show HTML based on user's role or group

Is there a way I can disallow staff from getting behind the knowledge base – to edit or add articles? We temporarily gave them access to help but have forgotten how to revert back to their old access. They shouldn't see the option to edit articles etc. They should only be able to sign in, to view hidden content.

    Hi Lithya,

If you go to your Guide Admin and select User permissions and then select Management permissions, you can adjust the Edit permissions and Publish permissions to just be for Admins. This then turns off access from any of your staff who are not administrators.

    Thanks,
    Maggie

    Hi Bill,

You'll want to make sure your Zendesk role is set as a Guide Admin. You can see this by looking at your Role permissions.

To see if your role has Guide Admin access, click the Admin button in Support and select People under Manage. Click the roles hyperlink and you can click the edit link for whatever role is assigned to you. Towards the bottom of the page is a Help Center section and  you'll want to make sure Manage Guide is checked. This can't be checked on all roles. See these articles for details on what roles it can be applied to:

    Thanks,

    Hi Bill,

Looks like you are in the Guide product which uses articles, sections and categories. Topics are in the Gather (community) product. To edit a topic, you'll want to go into your community, select the topic and the Edit topic link is available in the upper left:

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks,

    Maggie
