Can I embed media in Community posts? Follow

Question

Can I embed media in Community posts?

Answer

You can use WYSIWYG to add hyperlinks or images to Community posts, but you cannot embed HTML5 Video, Flash, QuickTime, Shockwave, Windows Media, Real Media, and iframe content to a post like you can to a Knowledge Base article.

To learn more about embedding those types of content in your Knowledge Base articles, see Inserting videos

I cant view the linked article because it says I don't have access to view this.

Are there any plans to change this? We would really like to activate our Community a little more, and one way we would like to do it is by creating weekly posts with little videos, or iframe embeds to soundcloud or other audio hosting options.

    Hi Joakim!

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't currently any plans to add this functionality to the community.

I checked in our Product Feedback forum, and I did find a post someone added this weekend about this very thing. You can find it here: Allow Community Users to post YouTube Videos (Help Centre - Community).

I encourage you to add your vote and detailed use case to that post!
