Are there any plans to change this? We would really like to activate our Community a little more, and one way we would like to do it is by creating weekly posts with little videos, or iframe embeds to soundcloud or other audio hosting options.

    Hi Joakim!

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't currently any plans to add this functionality to the community.

I checked in our Product Feedback forum, and I did find a post someone added this weekend about this very thing. You can find it here: Allow Community Users to post YouTube Videos (Help Centre - Community).

I encourage you to add your vote and detailed use case to that post!

Please add my serious weight to adding the ability for posts (admin or community-made ones) to be able to add content like pics and video. This is a serious problem, and I hate to burn my community to the ground to start over with another platform, but I might have to as it's that important.

    Thanks for the feedback, Cade.

The product team has let us know that there are not currently any plans to add/develop any features or functionality to the Community platform. That being said, you're welcome to add your voice to the relevant thread in the product feedback forum: Allow Community Users to post YouTube Videos (Help Centre - Community) as the Product Managers don't regularly see feedback provided in the comments on Knowledge Base articles.

I have also escalated your feedback to the relevant decision makers internally, to let them know that this is a missing functionality that potentially costs customers.

@Vladan - thanks for the update! Does your tip work with wistia videos or only those on YouTube?

@Nicole - I 2nd the other suggestions within this thread; having an easy way to embed video would really enhance the customer experience.

    Thank you,

    Toby

    Hey Toby -

We've pinged Vlad, so hopefully he'll be back here shortly to speak to your question.

Appreciate the feedback; I encourage you to add your vote and voice to the existing conversation about this topic in the product feedback forum:  Allow Community Users to post YouTube Videos (Help Centre - Community).

Hey Toby, I just updated my initial post and added code for Wistia / Vimeo videos.

We're launching our new user community and noticed a common error we're running into when uploading media to posts. When we try to add media to posts that have already been created the system doesn't allow us to. When creating a new post from scratch and adding media it works fine. We want to be able to add media to posts already created. Could I get some feedback here?
