How do I bulk delete organizations and users in Zendesk Support? Follow

    I need to delete more tan 200 users from an organization.

    It is possible to do it with bulk import ? How?

    Hi Sonia!

    So you want to delete these users completely from your Zendesk, or just remove them from the Organization?

    If it's the latter, which I think it is, you can do a bulk user update to remove or change the Org for these users.

    Has Zendesk considered a bulk user suspend option?  Our process dictates a user gets suspended when leaving an organization, as we've seen in some cases the same user come back to the same organization, where we've unsuspended the account.

    It's not a common need, and there's no native functionality to bulk suspend. However, you should be able to do this via the CORE API, using the create_or_update_many users call and updating the  suspended attribute to true

    If you delete a user via the API is this a soft delete or a hard delete?

    Hi Ed,

    We have two different endpoints related to user-deletion:

    The key difference between the two is how the personal information is handled after the deletion. In both cases, the user is marked as deleted within Zendesk (the active attribute will return false to indicate this), but the permanent deletion will delete their information as well. Neither case of deletion will allow for "recovery" of that user. If you're looking for something a bit more reversible, we also allow for suspension of users (not deletion).
