    We have a knowledge base that contains articles with information but we also have articles that have PDF attachments (that are the actual manuals). When i click on such a PDF attachment Zendesk immediately downloads the file. I am looking for an option to preview those files.

    Thanks for the explanation, Debbie. That makes a lot of sense. 

    I don't think there's any native functionality around a preview, but let me do a little digging to see if anyone has suggestions.

    I've confirmed that there is no native functionality around PDF previews. You're not alone in wanting this, I found this thread in the Product Feedback Community, and encourage you to up vote it and share your comments about it there:

    How do I print out a document that i am viewing in PDF viewer? When i try to print it out, it prints out the original document from where the PDF is coming from...

    This app works for on all PDFs except for one source..
    My fax->email service, unfortunately, this accounts for 90% of my PDFs that I need to view.(www.trustfax.com)

     

    So is there anyone to talk to about this app?

    I'm afraid that this app is a Zendesk Labs app, which means that it's experimental and it's not supported. Hopefully someone in the Community can help you out!

    I installed PDF Viewer App and after a day, it stopped working. Under the Apps section in Zendesk when a ticket is opened, it does not display at all. Since I discovered the issue, I have tried to troubleshoot it by uninstalling and re-installing but still no change. Any ideas?

    Hey Surleigh,

    The PDF Viewer app is a Zendesk Labs app which means it has not been thoroughly tested and is not not supported by the Zendesk team. It may be worth reaching out on the PDF Viewer Github page to see if the developers can jump in and assist here.

    Nothing on the roadmap currently, however, there's a 3rd party integration available that can accomplish what you're looking for: PDF Viewer Pro

    Hi All,

     

    We have a requirement of fax. Can i configure this using zendesk?

     

    As of now we have configured email and chat. But one of the country needs fax to be covered as well.

    Below is my requirement.

    1. User sends fax

    2. This should get convert to email.

    3. In Zendesk it should be created as a ticket like an email ticket.

     

    Can i achieve this? if not any suggestions to achieve this?

    Hey Waseem,

    We don't have any fax integration built into the product. You may want to take a look at our App Marketplace to see if there's a 3rd party integration available that can accomplish what you're looking for.

    Otherwise, if you can figure out how to convert the fax to an email, you can forward that email to your support address in your account.
