Hi, has there been any progress with integrating Azure AD with ZenDesk? If not, how do you suggest we integrate?

Is there any way to pull in more details from Azure when an end user uses SSO? We are looking for Department/Title to get pulled in along with First/Last/Email
Any idea of when Automatic provisioning will be back up?
We are also wanting to automatic provisioning, any update and ETA would be great!
Hi Kate, I've contacted Microsoft and they would like to fix the Automatic Provisioning feature but they need information from Zendesk. Who can they contact to obtain information about the API and collaborate with your developers on the solution?

Hey David! Thanks for the info on this. Our API is public, so I'm not sure what else they'd need, but I'm going to check with our Product team to see if I can find someone to look into this with Microsoft.
It would be appreciated if Zendesk could reach out on it's customers behalf to put pressure on this to be fixed. If that does not happen it will likely just be an endless loop of Microsoft saying it needs Zendesk to fix it and Zendesk telling customers to ask Microsoft fix it.

I've spoken to our Product team and someone from that team has reached out to Microsoft and is waiting to hear back. We'll let you know if we find anything out!

Apparently Microsoft is still working on this with an ETA of mid-late January. I'll post an update as soon as I find out more.

We're pretty much at Microsoft's mercy on this one but I know we've had someone on our Tech Alliances team in contact with them about this. I've just checked with them again, and I'll let you know what I find out.
I upgraded from Professional to Enterprise because I wanted to make use of this feature. Based upon this thread it looked like the feature was just around the corner.
That upgrade doubled the cost of our Zendesk subscription for my company.
I am very disapoointed that after months of requests that it still not yet completed.
If this doesn't get some traction soon, I'll be requesting a downgrade and credits or refund.
Can you provide an update from your Tech Alliances contact?

I'm genuinely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. As we've mentioned above, Microsoft are responsible for fixing this integration so our hands are tied beyond contacting them and pushing for a fix, which we have been doing regularly. The Alliances team is also aware of David and Rick's comments re: MS needing information from us, and we'll give them what they need once we know what that is.
Microsoft still hasn't given us any indication of when they're planning to implement this fix. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. We'll continue working with them and let you know when we have new information to share.

For clarity, our Tech Alliances team are the ones who work with Microsoft (and other companies) on integrations. I'm afraid I don't have the clout to make them sit down together. :)
What I can do is check and see if there's any new information I can share. I'll let you know what I find out!

Aaron Smalser, who works for Microsoft on the Azure Active Directory team, shared this update on another thread earlier today:

How will this work with existing accounts? Since this wasn't available we just created basic end users with SSO so our directory has thousands of end users. If we turn provisioning on will it just add the new details to the already existing end user or create a duplicate?
