Can end users use the API to access data within my Zendesk Support account?

Answer

The majority of your data is inaccessible to end users via the API. Each specific endpoint within the API has its own role restriction. For information on which endpoints your end users may access, please see the endpoints on our API documentation. Each call within the endpoint has an Allowed for section, which outlines the role restrictions.

    Hi Kate,

    Very recent I tried to use the API to display organization custom field data on a request form. Soon after that I realized that I cannot use the /api/v2/organizations.json endpoints since is allowed only for Agents.

    Is there a way to display custom fields data at organization level to end-users? (my case is an request form).
