Is it possible to add attachments to the comments on articles in my Knowledge Base or topics in my Community?

Answer

It is not possible for agents or end-users to add attachments to the comments on any content in your Help Center. However, an agent on your account may follow the workaround outlined below to make attachments available. 

Providing links to attachments (for agents only)

You may add the file to your Help Center's assets and reference the hyperlink in your comment. 

  1. Upload the file to your assets via General > Customize Design > Edit theme > Assets.
  2. Copy the assets URL, replacing everything before /hc/theme_assets with your Zendesk Support subdomain. For example, after adding an image to the assets, the image will have a link like //p6.zdassets.com/hc/theme_assets/879600/200197908/image1.png. The URL to reference in the comments would be https://subdomain.zendesk.com/hc/theme_assets/879600/2007908/image1.png.
