Permission groups define editing and publishing rights for user sements of agents. After you create a permission group, you apply it to an article to determine agent editing and publishing access for that article.
Permissions groups are applied at the article level and cannot be applied at the section level. You can apply or change a permission group for an existing article or you can apply a permission group when you create a new article.
You must be a Guide Manager to apply permission groups.
- In Help Center, navigate to the article where you want to apply or change a permssion group, then click Edit article in the top menu bar.
Alternatively, in Guide, click the Manage articles () icon in the sidebar, then select an article from an article list to open it in edit mode.
- (Guide Enterprise only) Click Article settings.
- Under Managed By, click the drop-down arrow, then select a permision group.
The permission group defines which agents have editing and publishing permissions for this article.
- Click Save.
