Will there be the functionality to duplicate an article? This will be helpful for multi-language support sites.

Will it be possible to bulk-upload articles from Google Docs for instance? (Not one by one)

Thank you @Ryan and the Guide team. This is great!

    Hi @Bertand,

We have a Google Docs importer built into the product. Just go to Guide admin > Arrange content > Import articles and you should be able to import documents into Guide.

    Hi @Jason,

Please see my reply in a thread asking for this duplicate content feature.

    Thanks!

Hi, will these bulk articles actions be available via API as well? If so, what is the ETA? Thanks!

This is very useful.  Additional actions you should consider adding is updating the article permissions - Managed by and Visible to as well as promoting/un promoting articles.

    Hi @Reshma,

We'll be adding this in the next couple of days. Hopefully that'll help.

    Thanks!

    @Ryan,

Any update on the new functionality.  Do you know if it includes the ability to bulk update whether the article allows comments or not?

    Hi Reshma,

This new functionality is live, however I do apologize in that allowing comments is currently not available via bulk update. However feel free to check out our article here in regards to what actions are available in bulk update!

Is there still no way to bulk update Guide article authors?

    Hi Danny!

There's no in-built functionality for this at the moment, but there's an API endpoint for author id, so you should be able to update it that way!

    Hey All,

We just released functionality to bulk open and close articles for comment this week.

    Thanks!

The bulk functionality is practically useless without the ability to change visibility as well. We can't change the default visible to either. So if we initially create a bunch of drafts and then try to mass publish, it publishes the content to the default visible to users.

Which means the only way to publish content (when it's all ready) is to go to every article change the visibility and publish again.

    Are there any workarounds?

You can change the view permissions on articles via bulk actions.

Select the articles you'd like to change the permissions on. Select Article settings > Change permissions

From there select "Visible to" and the user segment you'd like to have access to the article.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I cannot find any bulk action for moving articles to another section. Am I missing something or is this feature in any coming plans?

    Hi Peter,

Bulk moving articles to another section is not yet a feature and is currently not being looked into at this time.

I've passed this feedback over to the appropriate team so thanks for sharing!
