Can I set up speed dial in Zendesk Talk so that I can quickly call certain people or numbers that I regularly contact?
Zendesk Talk does not currently have a speed dial feature, however, there is some functionality in the product to help make it quicker to call those 'frequently used' numbers.
Within the Zendesk Talk pad itself, when placing an outbound call, you have the option to type the name of the profile you want to call rather than the number. This is possible as long as the contact has an existing profile in your Zendesk account.
As you type, the Talk pad suggests users that have phone numbers linked to them, based on the name you you entered, as shown below.
In order to take advantage of this functionality, you can create end-user profiles with these numbers for the people or numbers you call or transfer to regularly, making sure the numbers are formatted correctly.
Once the number is listed on a profile in your account, you can start to type that profile's name into the Talk pad when calling out or transferring the call, and Talk should suggest the profile to you.
