We are pleased to announce improved flexibility in regards to the name field in contact forms and ticket forms in the Web Widget.
The name field will continue to be included by default in contact forms and ticket forms in the Web Widget. However, you can now remove the name field by clearing the Show name field checkbox under the Contact form toggle in your Widget admin settings. If you have multiple brands, you can configure this for each of your brands.
In addition, you can make the name field a required field that users must complete before they can submit their form through the Web Widget. When the name field is required, the “(optional)” text will not appear in the field’s label.
