    yes i also use this code 

    window.zESettings = {

          attachments: false

    }; 

    but icon still there

    Hello,

    It seems you are loading the form component before the widget itself is loaded.
    Try the opposite, put the script after the widget has loaded.

    Hello everyone,

    After some testing, I can confirm the icon is not supposed to be hidden by the Contact Form component, so the fact that it doesn't work is expected.

    The option in the Contact Form, however, will be using the same logic we have discussed.

    Now loading widget and the component right after.

    Browser cache cleared and did test from another device also - icon still persist.

    I am confused.

    If this this component only cracks the attachment sending process, it looks nonsense to show to users: "we have an icon - come back later to see if it works".


    Question stays: How to hide the icon?

    While on the topic of disabling the attachment option in the Contact Form, the method described in this article is still relevant, I have found out it is possible to disable the attachments in the Chat part of the widget following the instructions in this article: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022183834

    Hello,

    The best position is related to when you load the widget on your HTML page. If you're not sure, definitely try in the <head> tag first.

    If you notice racing conditions or issues related to the loading timing, try at the end of the <body> tag, after all the HTML content has been already loaded.

    Hello,

    I understand the confusion, let me re-phrase.

    The component discussed in this article only works in the Contact Form: https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/widget/contact_form

    Therefore, it won't work while a Chat has started.

    I'll post here if I find/there is a way to disable/hide the option when a chat has already started.
