    Hi Zendesk Team!

     

    I am working on localizing my website, And getting my hands on Zendesk Chat for my new website which will be in French.

    How can I localize the text on the Appereance of chat and forms? Can I use Dinamyc Content here? if not what is the work around?

    Hey Alex,

    The Chat widget is configured to automatically detect the users language by viewing the language of the web page the user is visiting. If you'd like more control over what language is displayed to the visitor, then you can use the Javascript API which I've linked for you.

    Hi Brett, so, if I understand you correctly, the widget will auto-translate the default language over to what is detected? How would one go about testing this? I changed my default browser language to French and tried viewing our widget in an incognito window but everything still displayed as English... The business I work for has many French-speaking customers and we are trying to maintain a seamless bilingual experience for both our agents and our customers
