The Outbound Web Push channel lets you send a message to your customers directly on your website or in your product.
Today, we are releasing a number of updates to Web Push to give you more flexibility when creating campaigns and to improve the user experience for your customers interacting with them.
What does it look like?
Before the changes:
New Web Push updates released today:
What did we change?
- Added an avatar option - You can humanise your message with a picture of one of your team (let your customers know who they're interacting with!). Avatars are saved to your account so they are easy to use with future campaigns.
- Added a call to action button - You are messaging customers because you want them to take an action. We added a button to the Web Push to provide a focal point for where to click.
- Visual styling improvements - Web Push needed a makeover(!). We have updated the look and feel of the message. As before, you can customise the colours when setting up your campaign, if that's not enough flexibility you can override the styles with code, more info here.
- Works on desktop and mobile web browsers - Whether your customers are using your website in Safari on their iPhone or on their laptop they will be able to see the updated Web Push.
Any old Web Push campaigns will continue to work as normal, these updates are backwards compatible.
We hope you'll agree that the new changes are a big improvement! Get started with your first new Web Push campaign by checking out our Web Push docs.
