We've received reports of users in the LATAM region receiving server errors when trying to connect to Zendesk Chat from 19:00-19:40 UTC. We're continuing to investigate and apologize for the inconvenience.
POST-MORTEM
On August 26 from 19:00 UTC to 19:40 UTC, Chat agents based out of LATAM were unable to login to the chat product. This was the result of partial network drops between Brazil and our EMEA data center. The issue self healed by itself.
Remediations:
- Improve regional monitoring and health checks
- Work with provider to confirm network blips.
