Today we are announcing the general availability of a simple yet powerful improvement to User Segments in Zendesk Guide. User Segments are used to control visibility of articles and management permissions for your knowledge base, and now you have more flexibility in setting up User Segments that rely on multiple tags on users or user organizations.
With this feature enhancement you can create more flexible User Segments by configuring two independent lists of tags:
- One is an AND-based list, where users must match all tags listed
- Another is an OR-based list, where users must match one of the tags listed
Users who match all “AND” tags and any “OR” tags will be included in the User Segment.

Which plans will have it?
The feature enhancement is available for custom user segments on Guide Professional and Enterprise.
When will it be available?
We are starting rollout on Monday September 9th 2019 and expect it to be available to all eligible accounts within the week.
