Why is the Sidebar Search app not returning articles or community data?
Zendesk recently deprecated article data from being available in the Support Search API. A side-effect of this change is that the Sidebar Search app no longer returns article or community data in search results.
Who is affected?
This change impacts all customers who use the Sidebar Search app. To see if you are impacted, you can navigate to Admin > Apps > Manage to view your current apps.
What actions need to be taken?
If you are impacted by this change and need to search for articles, you can instead use the Knowledge Capture app. This app allows your agents to search your Help Center from tickets, offering very similar functionality to the Sidebar Search app.
